Love Shopping

Another example from the pro-marker workshop.  Using the Flippin' Stamps, the front and back was stamped and coloured with pro-markers.  The image was stuck together with a piece of string inbetween so that it could be attached to the card to allow the image to swing around.  The card used was already an apperture card.

Patriotic Pop up card

Workshop joining in with the patriotic theme for this year.

A map of London was printed onto accetate and attached to the top of a piece of card.  This was pushed up by resting on the pop up Big Ben and London Bus.

The images were coloured using distress inks, using them as watercolours.  Ribbon was used at the bottom of the card.

Workshop for the Men

Men can be differcult to make cards for so I hope this card inspires you. To create this card we had fun using distress ink pads, versamark, newspaper and embossing folders.  The stamp is from Wild Rose Studio stamps.

Poppy Heart Card

I have been playing with the Jo Sonia paints again!  I thought I would have ago at using the paints and the crackle medium on card to see what the effects were.  I was really pleased with the results.

The two images below are of one card.  I have painted the poppies with Jo Sonia Iridescent paints. The poppies with iridescent red and the leaves iridescent green. The top image does no show you clearly but it is the same colour as the butterfly (pale green) and the leaves are pale pink.  When you turn the card in another direction the poppies turn pale pink and the leaves turn pale green.

The white card with the heart poppy on has been painted with black, white and crackle medium to give an aged look.

Painted Mirror Frame

Thanks to Lynn Courtney from Flutterby Crafts, I have recently been learning new techniques with Jo Sonia Paints and loving every minute. There are so many different affects you can acheive with them, I have only just started.  My favourite so far is the crackle affect and I can't wait to pass on the effects at the workshops I hold each month.

The project below I have use the Jo Sonia Paints, the rose stamp from Kanban and the paper roses and butterfly cut from spellbinders dies.

Fathers Day

Our latest pro-marker workshop.  One for Fathers Day.  The image was a digital download which was printed a couple of times so the newspaper, trousers and slippers to be decoupaged.  The backing card was gently distressed with antique linen and scattered straw distress inks.  The spiders webb was achieved by inking the inside of a cuttlebug folder and then the card was placed inside the embossing folder then the ink rubbed onto the card.  The spider was drawn on.

Rubber Stamping Club

The card below was made using distress ink pads and glimmer mists.

The card was decorated using mesh and then gentle dabbing distress inks over the top.
The background card was already decorated this way. The swirl part of the paper was cut around so the white card with the flower on top could be slid underneath.  Before this was stuck down the white card had mesh laid on the top and strayed with glimmer mist.  The flower was stamped ontop.  A further image of the flower was stamped and used to decorpage parts of the flower.  These were coloured with distress inks using the mesh to give the same effect as the backing paper.  The attached flowers were again stamped and coloured using the mesh and distress inks to colour.

This was a really fun workshop to do if you do not mind getting your fingers a bit inky!

Flower Medalion

The card below was completed within our pro-marker club.  The flower was made up of several layers using a medalion stamp by Creative Expressions.  An effective and pretty way to use the rubber stamp.

This next card was also for the pro-club.  These images were also digital downloads.
For the pro-marker clubs I generally use digital downloads unless there is a particular stamp they wish to use.

I printed the fence above to go onto the front of the card which was then cut around to reveal the image inside the card.  Was easier to cut out than it looks.

I hope you like the design.  Again if you would like to know where I downloaded the images from, email me and I will let you know.

Kev the Tortoise

This card was made for the pro-marker club.  I expect you are wondering way he is called 'Kev'.  My Daughter was having a tortoise for her birthday so this image I dounloaded was perfect for her birthday card.  Kev is the name of her tortoise.  The girls saw it and wanted to use him as well.

The background is also a digital download. Kev and the flowers were decoupaged.  The butterfly was a kanban stamp.

The bird bath above was also a digital download and was printed to go inside the card.

I hope you like the above.. If you like any of the images, let me know by email and I will let you know.  Email me on craftyneeds@gmail.com

Pro-marker club

I know it has been a while.  I have been without a camera so have not been able to take photo's of the work we have been doing at our workshops recently.  That has now changed because, guess what, I have been given a camera so now I can flood you with all the cards we have been making recently.  I will start with what we have been doing at our Pro-marker workshops.  I will post them over the next few days.

The first card was made using digital downloads.  The corner on the front of the card was copied and pasted three more times to make the frame.  The bunch of flowers were printed inside of the card. Some of the flowers were decoupaged. These images were then printed and folded and cut to make a 6 " x 6 " card.

The images were coloured using pro-markers. The border on the front of the card was cut around to reveal the image inside the card which was also coloured using pro-markers. The butterfly on the front card was using a kanban stamp and coloured using pro-markers.

The ribbon on the was also a digital download. The inside of the card was embossed using a slim cuttlebug folder and coloured using chalks.

On the back of the card, a stamped saying was used ontop of a shaped layer.  Butteflies were used to finish off and coloured in using pro-markers.  The embossed design at the side was coloured using chalks.

I hope you like the first of the cards I have to show you.  See you tomorrow with the next one!!!!
